About Us

We are a small independant veterinary practice in South West London. There is only one of us... We're proud to boast that we are a well established practice at the heart of the community in Norbury caring for its pets and their families for over 30 years. Over the years we've worked hard to build a practice to be proud of offering all modern facilities and services, always striving to do exceptional work that our clients and their pets can benefit from.

Our clients often comment on how freindly and relaxed the surgery is, with such a community feel about it. Our team are committed to providing outstanding patient and client care and we are known for the care and attention we offer always prepared to go that extra mile. You'll find we're small but consistant and dedicated in our work because we love what we do and also where we do it. Both working and living in this community means we want to be a part of your pets life, ensuring they remain in optimal health from the very early years to later in old age, doing all we can to help them and you have the best possible chance of enjoying very many happy and healthy years together.

Exceptional work, outstanding patient and client care, attention to detail and value for money is our commitment to you and your pet. Quite simply, its Quality Care Because We Care.

Meet The Team

Nicola Gurrin – Veterinary Surgeon (MRCVS)

"Hi" I'm Nicky and I am the only vet at Norbury Pet Health Centre. I graduated from Cambridge vet school in July 2000 and then moved from my roots in North West London to join the team at Norbury as an assistant vet in the November. It didn't take me very long to settle in and so have been living and working here in Norbury ever since. I live with my partner Harry (a sparky) as well as Nikita and Lupo my disobedient and unruly huskies! I couldn't be without them but they definitely know how to test my patience.

"I had no intention of running my own surgery until Mr. Ross (the previous owner and senior vet at Norbury), announced his plans to retired June 2006. Since then I had no desire to move home or change job, it seemed the logical next step to put in an offer and so here I am, with a few more grey hairs but still enjoying all the new challenges I am faced with every day.

"My outside-of-work interests include music and aerobics. Some of you may know me from Nuffield Gym over the road, teaching aerobics or boxing-fit. Anyway, I feel blessed to be in a profession that I truly love.  It can be a very stressful job but also very rewarding so I would not want to be doing anything else!

Hope to see you soon.

Becky Robson – Laboratory Technician

"Hi there" I returned to Norbury Pet Health Centre after eight and half years. I would love to say I travelled the world and made my millions, however I made a little family of my own and now I'm back. I missed being around all the animals. It's definitely my calling here and I have to say it's really nice to see so many familiar faces.
I have two cats, one dog and two Water Dragons. All rescues called Duckie, Baby, Gunner, Loki and Thor!. I also have two little growing humans at home; both are boys who always keep me on my toes especially in the mornings...

Come Say Hello :)

Jack Sales – Veterinary Nurse

"Hey I'm back!" I left NPHC about two years ago and now I'm back for good. Since then I have worked in many vet surgeries around the London area and have gained loads of experience and knowledge. I have two cats, one called Mowgli and the other Bruce. I also have a dog called Foster who is quite the handful!

Anyway I'm glad to be back with the team again.

Hope to see you all soon.

Haylee Gubbins - Veterinary Nurse

Hello my name is Haylee and the newest member of the NPHC Team!

I am a registered Veterinary Nurse and have been working in practice for nearly 10 years.

I studied at Hadlow college where I received my level 3 Diploma in Veterinary Nursing.

I had always loved being around animals from a young age, be it family pets or when I used to volunteer at Foal Farm animal rescue center in Biggin Hill.

I honestly couldn't imagine doing any other job, I love nursing and caring for clients animals. I have a interest in Ultrasound and thoroughly enjoyed the practical side of my job either in surgery or taking blood tests or placing intravenous catheters for fluid therapy.

It is safe to say I love my job!
